Framed Ink-jet print of digital render from photogrammetric model, 0.8m x 1.09 m

A digital print of a 3D model produced with photogrammetry software, the subject of the work is the interplay between software reconstruction of a 3D model from 2D photos and its likeness to the real world object photographed.

2000 red plastic toy bricks, two MacBook Pros running Blender software, two LCD flat screens

Conflating the software environment and the physical space the bricks inhabit, this work is an attempt to jam together two spaces that are normally distinct in practices of screen-based making.

The forms rendered in the gallery space as well as in 3D model making software, represent the machine parts necessary to process the plastic bricks into a raw material useful for a 3D printer.
